Antigua..info needed

I may have to live in the capital of Antigua for 6mths and would like to know if anyone has lived there of been there RECENTLY...what is the cost of living for a nice place in a safe area? what about general spending? How is the electricity and water supplies? This area hurrican prone?

Was there a couple of years ago on holiday. certain it is one of the more expensive islands. But for the money you can e assured of proper electrical and water supplies. Pretty much any place in the carribean is up for a hurricane every now and then. I believe the last one to come close to the island was Hurricane Hugo(?) in 1992.
