Everyone has their own trading style. I detected a slowing in the price gain of LA.V so I exited the stock for better choices. Is it not better to get your slice of the cake off the top?

Well done. You don’t go broke taking a profit.

That said - It’s worth noting that they just completed a financing for US$4 million (converts at $C$19.76 so juicy 30% premium) that will allow them to finish their PFS which is needed to sell the company which is the main objective. More drill results and a possible uplist to senior exchange are also on the table. Keep this on your radar, as with these catalysts, the story is only getting better.

It’s consolidating here in the $15 range. Still up 100%+ from September (one of the top gainers in sector); and down slightly from the $17 highs when the company got the news regarding rabbits (FWIW, Teck got hit with the exact same issue re: rabbits so this is a Chile environment issue, not a company specific issue).

Here’s my take on catalysts:

1) uplist to senior exchange is still in the cards for near term. This will bring more attention and liquidity to the stock. CEO has been clear, this is a priority.
2) additional results coming from previously completed drill activity - based on the last update, feels like the results will only make the asset more valuable, so this is positive news for investors. Tough to predict timing, but my best guess is a few weeks or a month maybe before news.
3) update on the rabbit environmental issue. Best case scenario is that courts will allow the additional drilling to continue - so problem solved; worst case is they don’t which in my eyes is the only negative risk the company faces (partly priced in). However, the company is cashed up and can complete the PFS without additional drilling. So the show will go on no matter what happens with the rabbits.
4) the plan to complete the PFS and then prep for sale of company will happen no matter what. This is what management and major shareholders are focused on. Given we’re at .15x nav vs peers at .50x nav - the valuation for sale will be significantly higher than current price. Minimum $30-$45 and possibly much more.

I would prefer to ( and did ) cash out for now on LA.VN. Who knows how long you will be waiting in Limbo.

Cashed out on my LA.VN just before the rabbit scandal. I sold my ( previously recommended in post #122 ) NPK.TO this week. ( 25% profit ) It seems to be near the top. My friends with benefits are quite happy as well.

The "Ring of Fire" mining companies seem to be positioning themselves quite well now after over a decade of nothingness.
Noront got sold to a foreign mining giant for nothing, the "government" nor the media didn't say a word. There are other companies around Noront that are still publicly traded. Due your homework if you like it, but when a mining giant comes to town, that's eye catching.

Broader markets are looking ripe for a correction. Wouldn’t be surprised with a 5-10% pullback this month; but once that’s done, new highs coming and as you said, FAANG stocks and other growth stocks will do well (split or no split).

I nailed the correction call a few weeks ago. It’s running it’s course then up we go - now is the time to be buying quality names.

Sold all 3,500 shares of Baytex (BTE.TO) for a $2,500 loss. It was bleeding too much for me.

As expected, drill results came out this week. LA.V published one of the best intercepts so far on the project of 152m of 1% Cu Eq. This opens the south edge of the deposit for shallow high grade and they will now draw this into early mine plan considerations.

On the market side, stock has consolidated nicely and inching north again. Still think we’ll see $20 this summer and 2-4x that in the next 12 months when they are taken out.
