I prefer live poker rarely play online. Usually home cash games and live Texas hold 'em tournaments. Made a few final tables best finish was 4th in a large field tournament of over 120 players. Highlight was a few thousand euro win at an EPT event. Lowlight was a 1st hand bust out even before I got my jacket off. I had AA to his KK. Flop and turn were unremarkable then he spiked K on the river. Sick beat.......oh well that's poker. Overall I'd consider myself a very good player and could probably making a living as a pro but I don't have passion for the game. However, on my bucket list in the year I turn 50 is to enter the WSOP Main Event.

I find it strange that to be successful in poker you need to be rational and try to exploit the numbers and psychologically analyze the people around you yet your political views are the compete opposite of that. Aside from that I probably wouldn't read your posts if it wasn't for that ridicoulsly hot assed girl in your sig

Yes, I have been in that bad beat situation a few times. When that happens on online poker games, the first thing that comes to my mind is that the game is rigged, but it does happen even in friendly games at home.

Collusion is a major concern in online pokervroomscrestricted to only Ontario players. The pool is so small that you always see the same players playing. The probability that some players may be colluding is high.

I have been playing online poker off and on for about 5 years. I only play tournaments and have collected over $2000 and lost back about $150. of that. There are so many sites out there and you have to be very careful as there are a lot of crooked ones. Full tilt is one that was caught in a scandal and some of the smaller sites use bots as players. Another thing to be aware of is the use of poker trackers which can be obtained for free for a short time and then have to be purchased. They enable you while you're playing to see the tendencies of other players, such as how often they call or raise, and give you other info showing the playing habits of others. Many sites have banned them but the biggest culprit was Pokerstars. My favourite sites were Unibet where I played a qualifying tournament for 1 Euro and advanced to a 100Euro buying and won a 250Euro buyin to a live tournament in Manchester England, however, I had to pay for my travel costs but they were good to deposit my winnings in my account. Also GG POKER was good to me. The big problem in Ontario is that ASSHOLE Ford made a new ruling a few months ago that limited licences to only a few poker sites to be allowed in this province and players must verify that they live in Ontario the biggest one Is PokerStars but there are still too few players on some sites to fill tournaments such as sit n goes. So far this year I have played mostly Pokerstars as they have the most players. I play small buyins up to $10. and am up $440. Sorry for the rambling but as an 80 year old, this is my go-to sport except for golf and could talk all day about it.

Problem is because only Ont. residents can play them there are not enough players to fill tournaments which is the only game I play. I play mostly Poker Stars as they have more players and have done well, however, our choices are very slim. I have studied a lot about no limit hold em and learned about percentage, position play and other stuff and I think they are pretty well on the up and up, but have noticed certain trends that make me shake my head, but I will continue to play as long as I am winning.

haha! just posted the same thing. It just takes way to long now for games to start cause there's not enough players. Right before asshole Ford did this, I was doing amazing on 50/50 NL holdem 8 person tourneys. My ITM's were smaller, but the better players would have a better win rate. If this whole Ontario thing ever gets reversed and we can play international again, I'll probably go back to the tables.

When Doyle Brunson and other companies had their gaming platforms i was ranked in the top 100 tournament winning but that was 25 years ago. Now with all the changes made by the Ford government the only place to play is at the casino. I would recommend to go big if you play aggressive most people fold. Thats how i would play at rama and i was always winning.

I hate the gambling rules here. I can't play in DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) anymore on Draft Kings or Fan Duel.
