Can someone recommend any stores that still sell brand new or used locked/unlocked 2G iPhones. I am not really interested in the 3G model but more the 2G model. I'm looking for the 16GB version.

I was thinking Pacific mall, but can someone confirm or recommend any other stores that sell the 2G model whether downtown, west end or east end.

Let me know.

I don't think there even is a 2G 16GB iPhone. When it first came out, they were in flavours of 4GB & 8GB. When iPhone 3G came out, they were 8 & 16GB.

If memory serves me correctly, I think they were all either 8 or 16GB. Here is one on ebay.

There is no such thing as a 2G iPhone. There was the original and the second generation of the iPhone was called the iPhone 3G, with 3G standing for 3G data networking, not third generation of the iPhone. When first introduced the iPhone was available in 4 & 8 gig capacities. The 4gig model was a slow seller and was discontinued. The original iPod Touch (iPhone without the phone part) introduced a few months after the iPhone was available in 8 & 16 gig capacities. Removing the phone components left room for more memory.

Probably cause he needs it unlocked...
That and because it has a more solid construction.
