Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
Looks like alot of people are going to take a big bite of apple instead of taking crack.:D

I guess RIM will have to go back to the drawing board.

Watched Jobs' keynote and wow, this guy (and his crew) sure know how to make some insanely practical gadgets.
I'd switch cell phone carriers if mine never got it (maybe, my plan is also very sweet).

Are there any couriers in Canada which will carry this phone? I believe Cingular in the US will be launching it. Please be Telus.

Cingular's partner in Canada is Rogers. It's logical that Rogers would get it here first and maybe Fido as well. Rogers must be clamoring to get the iPhone. It's the sort of thing people would definately switch carriers to get their hands on.

The exclusivity deal with cingular applies only to the U.S.

Also, there was a recent legislative decision in the U.S. that will make it illegal for cell phone companies to "lock" their phones. It may make it a bit easier to pick something like this up....assuming Cingular offers it on a pay as you go plan.

Doubtful, since Telus likes to mess around with the UI's (user-interface) a lot.
Jobs, isn't the kind of guy to make a product and then have it all locked up.
Unfortunately for Telus, they are the polar opposite of where Jobs would like his product.

Also, the big one is the GSM/CDMA technologies.
Constant arguing over which is better.
But GSM is good simply because you can switch your card from phone to phone.

CDMA phones suck - that includes Bell and Telus.

Telus is gonna lose quite a few people over this phone.

Plus the fact that in March, number portability will take into effect.
Meaning, you can switch carriers and still have the same #. :)

Sweet. Bye Bye Telus and it isn't necessarily for the iphone. Customer service at Telus really sucks. I've really only stayed with Telus cause I didn't want to lose my phone number.
