A man received the following text from his neighbor:

I am so sorry Bob. I've been riddled with guilt and I have to confess. I have been tapping your wife, day and night when you're not around. In fact, probably more than you. I'm not getting any at home, but that's no excuse. I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you will accept my sincerest apology with my promise that it won't happen again.

The man, anguished and betrayed, went into his bedroom, grabbed his gun, and without a word, shot his wife.

A few moments later, a second text came in: Damned autocorrect. I meant "wifi", not "wife". Sorry.

I don't get it. If the neighbour were tapping the wifi, why would it matter if the guy was home or not?

It's easier to figure out someone is using your Wifi when you are home , where you can monitor it.

Because if youre tapping into somebodys wifi, they would notice that their internet is noticeably slower due to the fact that someone else is using it also for possible downloading or internet gaming and your ping would go up alot more noticeably hence ur internet webpage loads would be alot slower if u were home abd using it too. (but if u werent home, chances are you wouldnt notice the slower internet speed, higher ping)
