Is that the sole basis on how you will invest? Zuckerberg is spending billions of dollars on Nvidia for the future long term survival of his company. We are going through a downturn in the world economy and I suspect will be going through many years of slow economic growth. Nvidia is manufacturer of a non essential luxury device. Zuckerberg will wait for better times and his investments to pay off, can you sit and wait patiently along with him?

BCE closed at 53.23 on Friday just keeping this thread open.. i am no expert but the lure here (to me only) is looking at a 7% return (if you get it and in most cases so far you do get the dividend ) however a Ceo i know who was a CFO with a lot of designations said the price is only what investors want to pay not its actual worth. I cannot prove any thing here as i am not educated in Finance however i do wish a US company comes here so some of these clowns so sit on the board wake up and share some profit with investors and staff.. Yes its a good company but an infrastructure that cannot sustain in an open market IF we had competitors.. thoughts and comments ?

I hold over 500 units.. and am contemplating in buying towards 1000 but am skeptical. Does anyone here own over 1000 units ? message me privately.. cause i have some questions around that.

Investment summary....as of February 3rd.
We believe BCE is well equipped to navigate a tougher revenue environment leaning on a scale advantage, continued FTTH investment and Internet market share gains, the realization of additional cost efficiencies, and an extensive array of tactical initiatives across wireless, wireline and media. With a step-down in capex in 2024 following three years of accelerated FTTH investment, a corresponding step-up in FCF generation should underpin low-to-mid single-digit annual dividend growth alongside a gradual normalization of the dividend payout ratio. While we see more attractive growth and valuation set-ups elsewhere in the sector at the moment, we continue to view BCE as a higher-quality core holding that is well positioned longer term to benefit from network convergence and growth in 5G B2B (IoT, MEC, private network, cloud, security).


Meh....I'm still very nervous of a cut to the dividend. While it was under very extenuating circumstances, they have done it before IIRC. I'll likely regret it but not buying more.

I also made the mistake of selling too soon

How do you know I sold too soon, I took a profit and that is my strategy. It was not a stock I was actually watching. Many small profits are better than letting a stock run up only to see it go down. As I have said before, invest with probability not speculation.
NVDA has run up in the last few days, do you know when it will run out of steam? Let us make a hypothetical buy, and see who will sell before it goes down.

The parent company of Bell Canada is slashing nine per cent of its workforce and could further scale back network spending as it remains at loggerheads with the CRTC over what it calls "predetermined" regulatory direction.

The cuts, which affect about 4,800 jobs including 750 contractors, were announced to employees Thursday morning in an open letter by chief executive Mirko Bibic. The company also reported its fourth-quarter profit fell compared with a year ago, but raised its quarterly dividend.
