With tax loss season upon us. I see it at 30 35 with yield of 13% 16%. BCE will be inpenalty box for years.$40.71, down 9% currently.

it's a terrible stockBCE is a safe, reliable, predictable stock. Pension funds are obligated to hold a specified % of this type of stock and others like TRP and ENB as a hedge
It sure took off today to downside. Management are on drugs.

CelesticaMaybe you should name us a fantastically wonderful stock.
Apparently earnings will be coming out shortly. Interesting to see what happens.Buy low, sell high.................................BCE @ $40.43
Csu for sure. As for cco, resource stocks generally not good long term holds.Csu.to or bad or cco
Yeah, I'm probably break even now only because of dividends received.View attachment 374822
fucksakes. I've been losing money on this for years.
VERDUN, Quebec (AP) — VERDUN, Quebec (AP) — BCE Inc. (BCE) on Thursday reported a third-quarter loss of $873.8 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Verdun, Quebec-based company said it had a loss of $1 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 55 cents per share.
You're probably right. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you regarding divs and TFSA. It's only a small part of my portfolio but enough still to make a differenceHonestly? I doubt it. I think they'll have to cut mid-next year. This is a slow motion train wrack. I plan to sell (but I planned a month ago) after the next dividend that I receive. Fuck, I'm likely going to take a $6K income hit because the nearest stock is TD with a lower dividend.
The real kicker? The big losses are in the RRSP and TFSA where I can't claim capital losses. The taxable account? Meh, $3K capital loss so...$1.5K? Meh.
lol , bought coinbase and meta in q4 of 2022... oracle (after it tanked and almost hit 100 in q1 2024)As I have previously said, BCE is a Slo Mo Joe stock and I would put my money else where. Why not talk about BCE, this is a business thread. What is your pick for a profitable stock?
