With White Man's Greatest Hits aside (Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour anything, Moo Shu Pork, Egg Foo Young, spring rolls, and even fortune cookies which are not authentic sorry), real chinese food is far from what you can expect at your local all you can eat Mandarin. However, with that said, as for Best Chinese dishes...I'll stick with TOG, TAG, etc... LOL

Szechuan Beef, Chicken or Shrimp

Don't order the cantonese chow mein - most of the time they will use left over beef, chicken pork and seafood. It tastes stale, but most non-Chinese people can't tell the difference and don't complain.

Any other suggestions?
If you can get it - a clean one!!!!!

Best food I ever had was the toast at China Garden in New Liskeard - they serve it with everything you order.

Chinese style French toast with peanut butter filling :) Almost as good as poutine when it comes to a saturated fat dose.

Heaven, definately Heaven
1) SPARE RIBS! Using duck suace (or plum sauce in Hong Kong). I like the long pink kind. Some Chinese restaurants don't know how to make Spare Ribs correctly, or am I ordering the wrong ones in Mississauga?
2) Beef & Broccoli
3) Sweet & Sour Chicken
4) Chicken with Cashew Nuts
5) Pork Fried Rice (Love it as a left over with duck sauce and a microwave)
6) Chicken WonTon Soup.
7) EGG ROLLS! Not Spring Rolls, but the bigger ones with green cabbage inside (not the red cabbage)
8) Shrimp Lo-Mein

Where's the menue? Who's treating? Due to my diet, I'm not "scheduled" to have Chinese again until February. And then again when I get to Hong Kong next year. Once in Hong Kong, I took a tram all the way down from the Conrad to Causeway Bay just to get spareribs at 11pm and back again. Oh, did I munch so well in my room....YEAH! It's Spare Ribs as Number One for me!

"Return of the Dragon": "You never heard of Chinese Spare Ribs? Look let me show you." BANG!

White Man's Greatest Hits are OK for me, as long as they bring me the dishes I ordered.
I don't like is when I order Chicken Balls but they bring me Egg Foo Young.

has anyone been to Casa Imperial Fine Chinese Cuisine on steeles in markham? it looks intriguing and i would like to try it out but have heard mixed reviews about the place.
Haven't been...heard same mixed review & over-priced. Knowing Berlin, he's talking to the mirror now wondering why he can't google this place. For his benefit, it's on the T.O. side of Steeles.

Fireplace restaurant on Jarvis has a couple of my fave's. Fireplace chicken, crispy fried chicken pieces (lots of em) with a sweet and spicy honey glaze. And their cashew chicken. Lotsa chicken and celery and zucchini in a peanut sauce with lotsa cashews.
