about 17-18 years ago when my daughter was a baby i lived in Jamaica for about 6 months, i used to ride my mountain bike with her in the backseat, sometimes 30-50 kms a day...i wasn't wearing proper shoes 1 time and as just so happened that day, hit a curb, caught my foot in the spokes and ripped out bottom of my foot, skin flesh & all, i was right near Dunns River Falls...im on the side of the road and some ppl come to help me and coincidentally an ambulance was driving by, which i flagged...i thought holy de flock how lucky could i be, i was in some wicked pain, foot gushing blood with my baby in tow (she was fine).
the ambulance pulls over im am overjoyed to see them, i will never forget the ambulance drivers look on his face, he had this blank stare on his face like "uhmmmm what do you think I can do for you"
they had nothing in the ambulance, not a piece of gauze, no bandages, no liquid or disinfectant of any kind.. i couldnt believe it and he showed me...it was just a big van with 2 metal beds/seats in the back & totally void of any medical equipment...more like a death van lol
this is a long time ago, it's a bit better there now, but nowhere near what we have in Canada...i just had heart surgery and i have 1 little scar on my wrist and i am out next day...i am truly amazed
i imagine the equipment and education is very expensive Jamaica or Canada...now days Jamaica is better equipped, but you gotta have the money/insurance to get the help...I definitely will never travel without insurance again
but knowing my luck if i was in Jamaica when this happen im sure i woulda found a rastaman with a natural cure to clear the bloodclott lmao
oh damn feels great to be alive, everything & everyone is beautiful
i haven't been working out for the past several months as much as i used to, gained back a few pounds, so alot of this has to do with the weight up & down, cholesterol levels too high, smoking more cuz im not working out, drinking & stress & shock are the major factors in a heart attack, unless hereditary, which in my case it's not.
lifestyle they call it lol
for 32 years i pretty much abused my shell & these are the results.
right now i figure since i got a second chance im gonna change, i am not drinking, im not smoking cigs (nic patch helps) but still craving them in a huge way so much so when i watch a movie i have to look a way if i see anybody smoking lol
im gonna get a vaporizer for my herbal remedy & apply to health canada for medical marijuana, as i also suffer from chronic backpain ...besides cant just shock my body and give everything up at once, i don't think i can live without weed

< thats my sanity
i went for a 20 minute fairly brisk walk today and im feeling fine, dr's said that's all i should do for now, just walk and if i feel fine build it up
im dumping the damn carbs again for the most part, and some other food items like bacon...i m going back to eating like i used to when i lost 80lbs, and that was antibiotic free meats & poultry, game, lamb, fish, broiled or steamed foods instead of fried, fruits, vegies & nuts
by summer time i plan to be back on my blades & bike
