re: Attitudes need to change

I just got back from a five-hour ride and needed to express my feelings.
With considerable time on urban, rural, and suburban roads as a cyclist and a driver, I feel I'm in a good position to say that everyone (cyclists and drivers) keys in on a few rotten apples and quickly generalizes.
However as a person that just returned from Denmark, where the bike is king and drivers are vigilant of everything (peering over their shoulders before making right turns in case of pedestrians or cyclists), I am truly disappointed at how much many drivers get frustrated by anything slower than them such as a cyclist or a tractor. You can see it in their faces and the aggression while passing (sometimes on blind corners).
Heck, I've seen it enough.
I mean what is the delay of 10 or 20 seconds mean in the grand scheme of things?

Granted, the reality of North American roads for cyclists is vigilance and I've always exercised this, but I never knew how bad it was until I returned from a place where drivers were not just skilled, but responsible and considerate for everyone.
