The interesting thing about it is that, however improbable the story seems in fact, it is not something totally outside of the realm of possibilities.

Probability is, of course, a much different question.

But taking into considering all those "dirty tricks" and games that we now know have been carried out by the intelligence services of so many countries over the past, say, 60 years... well, maybe not so improbable as it first might seem?

And, of course, a delight for all those devout fans of conspiracy theories.

I've fallen for those stupid things before...Not gonna lie.

Pretty embarrassing when it's pointed out but sometimes you just gotta own your own stupidity.

I think it usually happens if you read something that you want to believe is true- You see it and it's like: "Eureka! This proves I was right!" It's usually a pretty good sign that your beliefs might be a bit kooky or on the fringe if you are vulnerable to falling for stuff like this though.
