Bing vs Google?

Since Google keeps records of every search you make, is there any advantage to using Bing which is used by default with Win 7?

Since Google keeps records of every search you make, is there any advantage to using Bing which is used by default with Win 7?

Weigh the pros and cons of different solutions:

Google:
- Forces law enforcement to do their work.
- Keeps track of everything.

Bing:
- Keeps track of everything, it's just that they aren't as competent at it as Google.
- Microsoft has divisions writing software for, and actively helping law enforcement.

Not A Criminal:
- Go for the service that keeps the accurate record. It is much easier to defend an accurate record with occasional misjudgements than an inaccurate record open to the prosecutor's misjudgements.
- Banks recommend using Ubuntu Live CD (or other Linux Live CD) and FireFox for banking transactions.
- Reboot your Router every once in a while, to keep outside people from easily knowing your IP address.

Criminal:
- Ubuntu Live CD, FireFox, Reboot Router frequently.

Question:
What would you rather do? Your choice.

Never knew that about Linux Live CDs, good to know!
I have Ubuntu Live on a usb stick which works fine and is easier to carry around than a Live CD. Just plug it into any PC and run KK off it.

I'd bookmark and visit cryptome.org frequently. They're a site dedicated to surveillance, privacy, security, etc.

They have many documents (among others) detailing exactly what data telcos, ISPs, portals, etc retain, for how long and what they will release to law enforcement.

Quite the eye opener.
