If you use one it's a good idea to put the extension cord in a very visable place.
(Looped Over the drives outside mirror?)
Prevents forgetting & driving away with it still plugged in.

Don't remind me. The ex. did that. That God for the quick disconnect that gave way preventing damage or worse.

Well the brass monkey is inside and the car was on the block last night. Nice to have a quiet easy start, warm air coming into the cabin and the ability to drive off only slightly slower than normal. Had to remember that the fluid in the struts and shocks is frozen.

Daughter is using her electric hand warmers. Christmas gift from Dad.
