Why would someone have blood in their ejaculate?

Previous prostate exam/biopsy? 1 yr previous?
A few months, maybe...

(Please mention to your SP that this could be an issue.)

Having had a prostate biopsy, blood can get in the sperm fluid which can last several weeks. This occurs in the majority of prostate biopsy. There would be no blood from a prostate exam.

It can also be caused from high blood pressure. I have suffered from this for quite some time, it was devastating at first, but no big deal now. I thought the worst when it first happened, but after visits to the Dr. and to Specialists and was assured it wasn't something serious, I was able to deal with it. I can also tell when it may occur just by the way I feel and the stress I my be under. If you visit an sp or mp, tell her first, most, especially the mature ladies don't have a real problem with it, we play safe anyway right.

Other than the listed possibilities, would beating it too hard be a probable cause ?

It happened to me once and freaked the hell out of me. Got an ultrasound and doc said it was probably just a burst blood vessel, nothing to worry about. Cleared up after a few weeks and has never come back since. But it's nasty nasty... at first it was like cumming blood, then later it's dark brown as the blood coagulates inside...

I also had it once. Went to the Doc to get it checked out and he said I probably burst a blood vessel. But you really need to have a doctor check it out.

Don't be shy, but you will probably get a prostate exam.

Related to the above - (specifically a burst small blood vessel), masturbation which is a tad over aggressive or over frequent can cause such.

On a somewhat related topic, does anyone know of a clinic one could go to to be checked for STDs ? In the Yonge and 401 area ?
Preferably somewhere with a bit of discretion.

Thanks,
HG Hunter

Any walk in clinic, your family doctor etc. By law, STDs must be reported to the public health dept.

I have only seen this with the prostate issues. Sorry, to hear it is also caused by high blood pressure. All the men have spoken to me before hand, as to what I should expect. This particular person, said nothing and acted surprised, like it wasn't a big deal. I asked about the prostate exam and whether it happens often and he said no? He said the prostate exam was over a year ago?
Safe ,yes, always, this one was real quick out the gate and couldn't make it to the main event so there was no need for party hats, but still, it is nice to know before hand.

see a doctor,
happened to me once, have a small cyst and it dislodged, was actually gone for a long time but eventually came back.It poses no serious problems, weird when it broke, but after confirming with a doc, when it happened I had guessed that was what happened.
