Fire the goddamn manager now, before we dont even have a chance at the wildcard dammit!!!!!
I was crying about this at the end of the Yankees sweep. That should have been the end for Gibbons and Mottola. Anyone wonder why we are struggling in the hitting dept, look no further than Mottola's career batting stats

It can't be that all our hitters are under performing dramatically from their mean. Its systematic. The pitching I don't worry about as much because it will come around, it's about having the confidence in hitters, which they don't at all.

I love AA, he's done a fantastic job. But if he doesn't pull the trigger now, all his good work will have gone for not.

The problem is when you release Rasmus nobody might want him
I don't think Rasmus is that bad. He needs to cut down on his K rate though. An above average defender yes he is prone to brain cramps.

Ive always kind of liked rasmus...but look at the other center fielders in our division.....ellsbury, granderson, and jones are all far superior and all much more dangerous at the plate.....maybe some day Gose will be in that category...but I dont think Rasmus ever will be

You do realize that a coach's playing statistics have zero to do with his coaching abilities?

And, naught, not not.

15 hits in yesterday's game and a much better performance from Morrow must have given the crowd a pleasant surprise. Hopefully they can continue that form in Tampa (unlikely I know!).

At least you have a sense of humour, so you can't be a total loss!

Stick around, we'll fix those loose screws that you have. Don't worry, it is relatively painless!

yeah this doesn't hold to much merit coming form somone that thinks the teams record of 11-21 is due the fact the manager isn't giving the right "win one for the gipper" speach...

Who the hell are you going to replace him with mid season? Even as bad as that stiff Valentine was last year, Sox kept him around till year end. Do you actually think AA is going to eat crow and fire his hand picked manager after 30 games? Won't happen.

Those guys are far superior at the plate, but none of them are any better than Rasmus in centrefield.

OK, start the bandwagon....maybe not yet...but a good win tonight. Gibbons is a genius, the hitting coach helped turned the offence around...ok way too early for that.....but hurray for JP, and right now Janssen is best closer in baseball...do have to worry whether Buerhle will ever be a winner again.......and still concerned about Lawrie

No.
Not even close.
Soriano, Nathan, Rodney, Street, Romo, Valverde, Perez ............. any of these names ring a bell?
The key words in my post were "right now" as in 2013 performance. Long run or career is debatable, but this year he has been virtually perfect. He gave up one run in one game where the runner took second base on a defensive indifference. He has not given up a hit to a right hand batter, and not many to lefties. So give him credit. If the all star team were picked right now - he has to be on it. That's all I am saying...and he did well last year too.

Mariano Rivera is the best reliever yesterday, today and tomorrow. But I'd have to say Casey is right up at the top. He's been excellent.

Casey is a huge strength for the Jays and doing as well as anyone else in the league right now.
