Bootable dvd---How?

Hi .........

I am trying to make a bootable dvd. It is the drivers and programs and info for a Windows xp sp3 system. i m using Nero 7 or Cdburnerxp. the data burns to dvd fine but its not a bootable dvd.

Can someone pls guide me step by step on how to make a bootable dvd? if you use programs that are not listed above, then just list what you use

I never made any Windows bootable CD/DVD. Any of those I needed were found via torrents already made. You just download, burn and use them.

Ok I need to clarify....This is NOT a Windows XP SP3 dvd i am trying to make. I have collected all the drivers + the preferred programs that i use. That's what i want on the dvd. I have made a menu for the dvd too.

have you enabled the cd/dvd drive as your first boot device in BIOS?

I use Nero 6 and under one of the burn tabs you can actually select to make the CD or DVD bootable. Check your Nero version to see if this option is available.

i want it to boot to the dvd and bring up my made menu

then you need the correct boot image which i can find for a cd but not for a dvd rw

I think you don't mean "booting up" as in loading an operating system when you first switch on a computer. You mean to make something like a program installation disk (CD or DVD) where a menu box pops up with different choices of tasks, correct?

Is THIS similar to what you want to do? Sorry I have no experience in this, but maybe you can google more with the correct search keywords.

I think he is trying to make a Live CD like Live Linux.
I don't think this can be done.
Only an Installation DVD OS could probably be done to install on C drive. But to run Windows Live?
