Recently heard that the snack Bugles is no longer available in CA and some Americans are making "runs" up north loaded with said goodies for Canadian friends and loved ones. Does CA Border Services place any limit on how much a person can bring in? Bugles have been getting harder to find down here as well, BTW...

It should not be a problem if you bring back a reasonable amount for a family that is approximately equal to weekly consumption. It would also look suspicious if you bring back 5 cases of Bugles or Kit Kats, it would look like you are bringing them back for re-sale.

I know people that bring back about $200 worth of groceries each week across the border without paying duties.

With C$1.32 ~ US$1.00, I was at Topps in Lewiston NY, very few bargains there. Not really worth the trip, even gas is not the discount we Canadians are used to.

It's Tops. as in Tops Massacre in Buffalo. Lewiston (Dimeos) Tops is upscale as markets go. The NF Tops is bigger and a little less pricey, if you want the best bargains though, go to Aldis -second exit after the LewQ bridge. You will likely see other Canadians there...

I got the supermarket confused with the baseball cards.

My wife is always searching out Combos when in the junk food aisle in US supermarkets.
Always a part of our cross border trips.

Combos in all their flavour variations are no longer marketed in Canada.
And when you read the 'nutrition' panel info on the bag, you realize that is a good thing.
