Definitely an awful lot of them about the past couple weeks. Guessing the same weather conditions that promoted the swarms of wasps this summer are also to blame here.

I had an infestation of moths. Goddamn things. Still finding them fluttering around the house. Where the frak are they coming from????

This is what happens when you mess with nature...

According to the reports I've read, these lady bug "impostors" were introduced into North America as a "natural" way to cope with other pests... Now they themselves have become the pest.

Just another example of how the short sightedness of "the powers that be" end up creating a bigger problem with the "cure" than the problem that they started out trying to fix.

the Asian LadyBugs were brought in a few years ago because of an Aphid infestation, our own ladybugs were not up to the task and the aphids were causing some real problems for farmers and flower growers......now the asians have taken over and our own ladybugs are dying out because of the competition for food. the end of the season sees the aphids dying because of the weather so the ladybugs are swarming looking for food and breeding. the Asians bite, ours do not.
My apartment building was covered, and I am not exagerating, the walls were literally covered in ladybugs last week,,,,we were all wrapping up before leaving the building cause they were getting in our hair, in our clothes and God forbid we leave a window open. They seem to be dying out now thank goodness.

There was an articvle in the paper when this infestation happend. I'm to lazy to find it for you, but it basically said that because it wrmed up so suddenly, the ladybugs that were going to sleep for the winter got tricked into waking up and and gave a whole scientific explanation.

22? Ya big sissy, I bet I vacuumed up over 1000 of them this morning alone. Get a grip, 22 is nothing.

Diggy - happily surrouned by ladybugs.
