in saudi arabia- they don't go out during the day. its too hot.i doubt it, the material is so thin and has tonnes of lil holes in it.....plus, they wear it in Saudi Arabia!....you really think the gov't their want there moms and daughters to die of heat stroke?...these questions were the same ones i asked her!..lol
In the meantime how many more women will be oppressed and/or murdered for not be sufficiently subservient to their MAN (father, husband, brother, boyfriend, etc.)? My Muslim Iranian friends say that using religious freedom to justify the burka is bullshit.. some cultures and peoples need time and patience on our part ,

Hey Back Burner, I didn't mean to pounce on you. I am not a Muslim nor an expert on Islam but I know enough to say that the burqa is not simply just a garment. It comes with a lot of baggage. To support the burqa is to support Sharia Law and the subjugation of women. I am also surprised that at least a couple of TERBIES claimed they spoke to a burqa wearing woman because they are not allowed to speak to a male who is not a relative.Dude, come on.
