The election at this time seems to be a dead-heat.In these next few days what could turn the tide to one side or the other.Please be serious and truthful,i beleive this is a very important election.No nut-cakes here ,please.

Baring an October surprise (look, we found OBL) this election will be decided on turnout - which is why bbking is so confident. I'm worried as hell, the Democrats have more registered voters in some counties than there are citizens....

My Holloween costume is going to be a Florida election booth. Think of the possibilites for options.

That is not true.
The ballots are still in the mail..they just had trouble figuring out some of the zip codes (postal codes) for places like:
1) Somewhere over the rainbow
2) In a galaxy far far away.
3) Never, Never land
4) 77 Sunset Strip
5) Hotel California
6) Down on main street
7) Checkpoint Charlie
8) Pleasantville
9) In a place called perfect
10) Stepford
etc..etc..
Once those adresses are verified i am sure the ballots will arrive.

Unfortunately, regardless who wins, half the country is going to be pissed, wish a plague on the winner and think the other half of the country are complete Muppets for voting the way they did.

I expect a narrow John Kerry win: 271-267. My guess is that every state will go the same way as in 2000, save for New Hampshire and Ohio going Democrat; and Iowa going Republican. I think Florida will go decidedly for Bush, and Kerry will take Pennsylvania with a comfortable margin. Ohio will be the key state this time around, but Wisconsin and Iowa will be very very close. Despite the close polls, Minnesota will lean comfortably to Kerry and Colorado will stay in the Bush camp.
In 2000, even though New Mexico was close, due to the electoral vote breakdown, only Florida mattered. Bush-Cheney only won my 271-267, but none of their states were in dispute other than Florida; and Gore's questionable state (New Mexico) was irrelevant irrespective of the Florida result.
This time around, the polls in Ohio have been flipflopping on a daily basis; and Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Colorado and New Mexico are all statistical ties. If the vote comes down as I predicted, a change in the vote in any one of the swing states will make all the difference. Recent polls have shown that Hawaii may go to Bush despite Gore having won this state by close to 20% in 2000. A few months ago, no one considered Hawaii to be a "swing state". And the Colorado polls are now leaning to Kerry, even though Bush took the state handily in 2000.
It would be something if the mainland splits 267-267 (as my above prediction contemplates) and it all comes down to Hawaii.

As OTB points out, the country will be divided regardless. Part of me wants to see GW re-elected, so that he has to deal with the consequences of what he began in Iraq, and the mess it has become. Powell warned him; you break it you own it. Well dubya, you might iust have to own it for another four years. Careful what you wish for.

Please dont let Pres. Bush,win this election.Im hoping and praying for Kerry-Edwards to be in the White House in 2005.I just beleive 4 more years of Bush would be a disaster.Kerry must begin to build respect for the U.S. again with its allies.Soldiers in Iraq are way over -extended and help is needed.Planning in Iraq was after the initial war was disasterous,Please dear God bring peace to the nations.
