Good point:) . The problem is the super knows that I have a learning disability---Asperger syndrome and takes full advantage of it. I had to spend two years and actually go to the city by law office for them to re drywall my ceiling.

I guess it didn't help that I called the super a f---- idiot in front of the owner---lol. I've already been down the lawyer route with these people. It ended in a stalemate when at the last minute they finally agreed to fix the ceiling.

"The right of quiet enjoyment" is a good rule that I can bring up. Thanks Aardvark! It's not easy being a tenant that's for sure.
Squash take a look at this link for the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board http://www.ltb.gov.on.ca/en/index.html and here for the current law 'The Residential Tenancies Act' http://www.ltb.gov.on.ca/en/Law/STEL02_111323.html and the regulations.

I even brought this up with a guy that works for them the one time he came to repair my toilet and showed him the wall in the washroom and he said good luck he has worked for them for years and nothing surprises him and said they only like to repair when people move and if they can avoid to cut back they will. If I were to move this washroom would be totally retiled. Now I get that finding matching tile for that one area is impossible as they do not make that type anymore. I even got they do not know what to do about it if they should paint or tile and that they would have to take it up with head office as they do not feel paint is appropriate because of it meeting with other tiling and not the edge of the wall etc... I doubt they even mentioned it or did anything. The last time I went back after this conversation with one of the men (the husband) I talked to the wife and she thought the job was complete. lol
Yeah that's exactly like my building:) . It seems like the tenants who move in get the freshly painted and fully repaired apt. Whereas the existing tenants for the most part have to put up with incomplete repairs. Again, good luck with everything!

OK, here's an update:) . The contractor checks out my apt. bathroom today.
He says that the "buzzing" noise is probably caused from a leaking kitchen tap in the next door apt.

The kitchen of the next door apt is directly adjacent to my shower tiles. Does this explanation make sense? The contractor said that he will look into it. Thanks again for everyone's help!

I'm not a plumber, nor do I claim to be a great amateur plumber, but it certainly makes sense to me.

Hope he's able to fix it soon Squash. Those buzzing water hammers can be to put it mildly "very annoying"!

It's been good to know ya
lol Mine isn't when I went over they had a different woman over there crying on the phone to someone that she does not need this treatment anymore that someone had called her uncaring etc... I stood there like a whole 10 minutes before more people came in and started to try to get her attention. Then after she goes through the files says she thought it was fixed already I told her yeah the cabinet was installed that the hole was filled in the mirror replaced etc... but they left broken tiles and unpainted concrete that looks ugly. She then told me to wait till the other two get back from a 3 week trip to Jamaica because the records show complete. I told her that maybe that is what it says because the work order before said to fill in the hole and replace the cabinet. Jeeeesh.

BTW I am curious is yours a cap reit building too?
