This is to retaliate against Texas gerrymandering.
And? The idea here is to cheat, like Texas did, to redraw the electoral map to favour democrats.![]()
California Allows Illegals to Not Only Vote but Also Oversee Elections | The Gateway Pundit | by Antonio Graceffo
In small local elections, illegal aliens are already allowed to vote.www.thegatewaypundit.com
'' For presidential and gubernatorial elections in California, state law limits voting to U.S. citizens, but the system operates entirely on the honor system. Under California Elections Code Section 2111, a person proves citizenship by signing an affidavit of registration under penalty of perjury. In practice, this means voters simply check a box and sign. There is no verification of actual citizenship status. ''

So its only a problem for you if dems do it?California as been fixing their elections for years now...
Yeah, right, they did. If it were not for gerrymandering, the gop would have not won in 40 years. The economy would have been so much better. It would not cost american 5k to take an ambulance ride.California as been fixing their elections for years now...
You're confused (again). You're thinking with your heart and not you're head. The metrics are simple if you just think through it.Yeah, right, they did. You can't seem to explain to emotional people that California with 60% Democrats already has 43 of 52 seats.California as been fixing their elections for years now...
Just asking for a friend, does gerrymandering have anything to do with Republicans doing better than they should be doing in winning seats? You're confused (again). You're thinking with your heart and not you're head. The metrics are simple if you just think through it.
The Republicans won over half the vote for the House last year. They routinely win a majority of House votes.
I suppose it makes some feel good, but the California gerrymandering vote is a pyrrhic victory.
Blue States like Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland and yes California have squeezed the most out of their gerrymandered maps. Gerrymandering going forward significantly favors the Republicans as they have generally been a bit more reasonable with their Congressional gerrymandering.

You're smarter than some of our whiny members.Just asking for a friend, does gerrymandering have anything to do with Republicans doing better than they should be doing in winning seats?
Mind you, didn't Biden's admin have more seats in the House his first two years??
What are you quibbling about?![]()
Both U.S. Political Parties Have a History of Gerrymandering
Both Republicans and Democrats have engaged in gerrymandering, skewing U.S. elections and weakening democratic fairness.www.visualcapitalist.com
Why link to an article that refutes your own final statement?I suppose it makes some feel good, but the California gerrymandering vote is a pyrrhic victory.

Why attempt to make such a statement at all and not just stop at the truth that Republicans are more likely to gain from a redistricting war? What emerges from this state-by-state overview is that beyond Texas and Ohio, Republicans appear to have some other places where they hypothetically could attempt redraws just by the state legislatures and governors deciding that they want new maps, likely with the urging of Trump. Democrats, meanwhile, generally have many more obstacles in the states they control.
