Camera's in MPs

Some members raised a interesting point about camera`s in MP`s.

My question of the day is do you think they are hidden camera`s in Ottawa MP massage rooms?



I don`t want any public speculative replys on suspected locations.

I have seen with my own eyes cameras at 3 of ottawa's MPs. And this is without searching for them, just sort of stumbling upon them. My guess would be that most of them do have a camera. So next time, smile!

This topic came up last year in reference to Inner Image. Someone felt a little paranoid about seeing a coax cable run up the side wall and disappear into the ceiling (in the massage room). Got some interesting reactions on that one. I think Christa had to jump in and throw cold water on the whole discussion. Turns out, the cable was for the TV in the reception room. Y'know - despite the denials, I like the idea that we're all being recorded for that huge MP bust planned for 2006. Fun - why don't you list the MPs where you saw the cameras?

Sorry for the confusion, and causing some panic. I have NOT ever seen a camera IN a massage room. (I have seen many strange holes in the ceiling though, but never a camera).

The 3 instances I am talking about are cameras in the LOBBY ONLY,which from some of the PM's I have received, I guess is not uncommon, although slightly unsettling for me personally. It threw me for a loop the first time I saw it. I have asked in all cases why the camera, and what it is used for. Usually the owner puts one in to watch the # of clients coming in so that they are not ripped off by the MPAs. Was told that once the day is reviewed, the tape is re-used the next day.

Was told it was also for security for the girls and the establishment. I hope this clears things up.

Considering that MPs are a cash business, and virtually all other cash businesses have gone to video surveillance, it makes sense to have video in the lobby.

But when I worked in massage in the States, 30 years ago, the law was that the management had to be able to "check" the sessions to ensure that no prostitution (bad! naughty! bad! BAD!) was going on in the rooms. Some places had reverse peepholes in the doors and others had half doors -- management was required to "look in on" every session at least once.

Needless to say, only those who pissed off management or, for whatever other reason, were queued up to be terminated ever got caught. If they liked you, you always had plenty of warning that they were coming.

I haven't worked in massage since the 70s, but have they employed video surveillance to ensure the attendants obey house rules these days?

I have little doubt they have Cameras. My concern is if they have wireless Camera's as opposed to hardwired systems. I have recently seen how easy it is to pick up wireless feeds. You don't even need to be in the establishment to pick up the signal leak and tap into their camera system. You can flip threw every Camera in their location and see what is going on. If I can get a demo of this done from locally store bought equipment. Then why can't LE do it too?

I would have never thought of signal leak till I saw others picking up feeds. (not MP feeds mind you) never the less it got me wondering.

Anything's possible

I don't do the MP thing, but a buddy of mine mentioned that one place he tried a while back had the camera in the lobby. I know this is not what the poll is trying to capture, however - if the technology is relatively cheap and easy to integrate, then anything is possible. Patrons should be careful as you may end up on candid camera.
