I'm not the one complaining about hiring practices. Are you one of those "OMG! They are taking our jobs!" people? There is nothing called "Canadian talent".
I think the amount of student we produce year after year says otherwise.

Every hire is a risk. The goal is to lower the risk. For some jobs, this issue will be a deciding factor. No you did not answer my questions. There is no risk. The risk is your own invention.
And it is okay if an immigrant loses out to someone who graduated from UofT. But immigrants today are not being given the opportunity to lose out in the first place, just because they are immigrants. You have to give them the opportunity to prove themselves, failing which it is racism.
Not for you guys apparently. Quickly re JP. You still can’t grasp that is about FoE can you…and like climate change can’t read..can you..and like dozens of others can’t think or think for yourself can you…it’s actually not my place to tell you or anyone what to think. Nor vice versa. There really is no hope.
Its like the Jordan Peterson thread, they just can't understand.
Their step one was to put resumes on the bottom of the pile based on Canadian experience even though he notes you're not allowed to make that decision until after an interview and only if you can defend that decision in court and prove that Canadian experience is required. Not before.
and do recall too more than once I said it’s not that simple and is more involved…A strict requirement for “Canadian experience” may result in discrimination
Fine, I'll post the lines from the OHRC guidelines that show that by putting resumes on the bottom of the pile based on Canadian experience is a human rights violation that you can only break if you can defend it in court. Not for you guys apparently. Because obviously you struggle with reading. Why anyone would hire you clowns is beyond me. Bad enough you can’t read, bad enough you can’t think for yourself, bad enough you keep digging the hole deeper and deeper. And even when you guys hang yourselves…
Obviously you guys missed “applicants”. I’m sure you both recall saying I missed “employers should not” and some more “stuff” …backpedal much trying to get your feet out of your mouths…so now it’s about the application process is it…Kautilya has been whining about Canadian experience and interviews.
I gave him examples of when that might come into play. He said that’s Moot. Or are your memories seeping out of seives….
And by the way, if you clowns go back to the examples given. Where I asked which resumes go to the top…pay special attention to applicant B…who had NO EXPERIENCE period and is pimply faced out of school. Yeah you guys know how to read…and think. Your interviews ( which I do as part of my job) wouldn’t last 3 minutes.
But for shits and giggles.
See the section in red and the SCC…
you challenged quoted sections, and demanded a link. Even though you already had it…..but when helped by the hand like the boys you are. And I linked the page…you still didn’t read it….so I coped the entire page..spoon fed you…you still didn’t read it…
And perhaps you haven’t read that this page is
Best practices aka not law
Obviously you guys don’t know the difference between best practices and policies, or even should not…and…Can not. Let alone missing the word “apply/applicants” many times.
Policy on Removing the “Canadian experience” barrier | Ontario Human Rights Commission
July 2013 - While the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) recognizes the significance of all of the barriers newcomers potentially face when trying to access the job market, this policy will focus on “Canadian experience” as an employment or accreditation requirement, and as a practice that...www.ohrc.on.ca
And the second one I spoon fed you guys. Is the policy, that neither of you can read.
..
Now. Time for you boys to act like grown men, even though I know you don’t/ won’t/wouldn’t and that speaks volumes about your characters….As does many other threads…
And show me/us where it says employers can not weed out applicants. No real need to read the entire policy. Already know you guys don’t. The pertinent sections are just a couple post up. But I’ll even add these words.
and do recall too more than once I said it’s not that simple and is more involved…
So boys, have you grasped yet, the sad joke is on you guys? I did try to warn you one last time.
The globalists and politicians don't really want to see an incrase in population, they're just using that talking point as a REASON to bring in new immigrants to Canada to create more chaos, otherwise the politicans and globalists (as stated earlier) wouldn't be making talking points about population control.Lol really?? That's so stupid.
Why not make effort to increase our own birth rates instead of replacing ourselves with immigrants
They will be the wild card in future elections, if they can get past their fear or distrust of NA conservatives. One of the major positives, inter-alia, in increased immigration is that most immigrants tend to have conservative values. They generally don't spend their lives debating Dundas Street, the number of different genders, etc.
Hard to say. They will be the wild card in future elections, if they can get past their fear or distrust of NA conservatives.
Also add that Canadians are very risk averse. Toronto is known as very clubby when it comes to jobs,Every hire is a risk. The goal is to lower the risk. For some jobs, this issue will be a deciding factor.
Tons of people don't get calls back. This isn't an issue that affects one group of people.
Immigration makes no sense in Canada, but certain people only want the conversation to go one way. Also add that Canadians are very risk averse. Toronto is known as very clubby when it comes to jobs,
For example, executives take their assistants with them when move around to different companies.
The worker shortage thing is just BS. Business had decades of boomers and women streaming in and they don't want those times to end.Immigration makes no sense in Canada, but certain people only want the conversation to go one way.
They take about saving the environment, then in the next sentence demand the government to destroy farmland and forest.
We need nurses, construction workers and truck drivers. I bet you not even half half the immigrants they bring over are skilled in that line of work. Then have the nerve to tell us every year we have a worker shortage.
All I can tell you guys is travel and see what the wold has to offer.
I tried explaining that too. We are not like the US, we don't have a expaning labour market like them.We need to have a small country European model that basically brings people in with jobs lined up already. The worker shortage thing is just BS. Business had decades of boomers and women streaming in and they don't want those times to end.

This is why I said Canada is operating like a Ponzi Scheme. We are only bringing in new people to pay off promises to old people. That's not growth..

Indian students outpace Ontario government in funding colleges: report
As domestic students enjoy stable or reduced tuition, Ontario colleges rely on international students, though their presence in such numbers is seen creating challenges for the municipalities the colleges are in.www.thestar.com
So what would you do?This is why I said Canada is operating like a Ponzi Scheme. We are only bringing in new people to pay off promises to old people. That's not growth.
This is a pipe dream.
The issue isn't we need immigration, it's how much. The current system needs to be changed. We need to change the current system to a US model. More entrepreneurial, more pay, more jobs etc., Otherwise we will be an old country with old people, and just have a lethargic laid back attitude. Doesn't get you anywhere. Immigrants are the ones who will create this change, and that is precisely why we need immigration - both to hasten this change and to pay into the system so the old laid back people can be taken care of.
I ask again. The issue isn't we need immigration, it's how much.
If Trudeau fart out something that sounded like 1 billion, you'd blindly agree with him. That's the issue.
I think 500,000 year over year is way too much given our current situation. The current system needs to be changed. We need to change the current system to a US model. I'd dial immigration back to 250K like we always did before dummy Justin and his cabinet came along with their pipe dreams.I ask again.
So what would you do?
