Every hire is a risk. The goal is to lower the risk. For some jobs, this issue will be a deciding factor.
Tons of people don't get calls back. This isn't an issue that affects one group of people.
Policies that aid the birth rate:
Subsidized day care
Mat and Pat leave
Better pay
Policies that make immigration issues worse:
Cutting rent control
Cutting social services
Cutting welfare
Cutting university funding so universities need foreign students to fund them
Excessive rules on working permits for skilled immigrants

I’m sure you both recall saying I missed “employers should not” and some more “stuff” …backpedal much trying to get your feet out of your mouths…so now it’s about the application process is it…Kautilya has been whining about Canadian experience and interviews.
I gave him examples of when that might come into play. He said that’s Moot. Or are your memories seeping out of seives….
And by the way, if you clowns go back to the examples given. Where I asked which resumes go to the top…pay special attention to applicant B…who had NO EXPERIENCE period and is pimply faced out of school. Yeah you guys know how to read…and think. Your interviews ( which I do as part of my job) wouldn’t last 3 minutes.

Employers, representatives of employers and regulatory bodies should not: Require applicants to have prior work experience in Canada to be eligible for a particular job.

You complain endlessly about immigrants, state that we need them and then actively make their lives in Canada harder.
And you don't see that.
The globalists and politicians don't really want to see an incrase in population, they're just using that talking point as a REASON to bring in new immigrants to Canada to create more chaos, otherwise the politicans and globalists (as stated earlier) wouldn't be making talking points about population control.
They will be the wild card in future elections, if they can get past their fear or distrust of NA conservatives.
Also add that Canadians are very risk averse. Toronto is known as very clubby when it comes to jobs,
For example, executives take their assistants with them when move around to different companies.
Immigration makes no sense in Canada, but certain people only want the conversation to go one way.
They take about saving the environment, then in the next sentence demand the government to destroy farmland and forest.
We need nurses, construction workers and truck drivers. I bet you not even half the immigrants they bring over are skilled in that line of work. Then have the nerve to tell us every year we have a worker shortage.
All I can tell you guys is travel and see what the wold has to offer.

The worker shortage thing is just BS. Business had decades of boomers and women streaming in and they don't want those times to end.
I tried explaining that too. We are not like the US, we don't have a expaning labour market like them.We need to have a small country European model that basically brings people in with jobs lined up already.
This current system is a pipe dream. The model doesn't work.

I think 500,000 year over year is way too much given our current situation.
Our housing situation is getting worse, they are not cheap labourers, and we don't have high economy growth.
But as I said this is a ponzi scheme. I understand.
I'd dial immigration back to 250K like we always did before dummy Justin and his cabinet came along with their pipe dreams.
