What happens when you brain tells you that you are the wrong gender.…. ? There are examples through history of this. If nature can give some people male and female parts at birth, it is not a stretch to say it gave them some differences in their brains. Scientists have already discovered differences in the male brain between straight and gay men. There is still lots to research and discover.

As a guess, they want to make sure they cover their bases before firing to avoid lawsuits and human rights complaints.
Obviously you don't look at the science and all that jazz. There are plenty of different genes that impact sexual characteristics and even if you ridiculously limit it solely to the presence of a Y chromosome, there are numerous possibility (though most others are quite rare). There are also studies on structural development of brains that show brains of trans people often are more related to their perceived gender than which dangly bits they were born with. Even more so, looking at other species shows significant issues with the binary view of sex so unless you are of the belief that god created man as special, the argument gets even weaker.
And to be precise, sex is about the physical characteristics while gender is about perceived places in society.
Most importantly, I don't get why the right wing freedom people are so obsessed with how other people look at themselves.
