So where are the best free hotspots in the city to catch the annual air show this weekend?

Heard there is a good spot some where on the Toronto Islands, but don't know exactly where it is. Anyone know where it is?

Sunnyside. Is pretty good. The Show is centered off of Marilyn Bell park just to the east of it.

I always stand at the west side of the "air box". That's where they go straight up. That's close to where the fire heli drops the water. I haven't checked the schedule this year but you sure see all the action. i usually ride my bike and in slow moments i go over to the stands at ontario place and listen for a bit to the announcer. don't worry about getting a good spot. there's lots of room. if you're walking in, bring a chair. i also park in one of the waterfront parking lots to the west. they're costly on the weekend, but c'est la vie.

I thought I heard some extra jet sounds in west end T.O. near the Airport, but there were more clouds earlier this aft.

If the weather is shit, you'll see less unless you go downtown by lakeshore I guess.

Damnit, missed today's show as well. That is two strikes now with only one more chance. I'd better make it down tomorrow or I'll have to wait until next year.

A pilot said that to-day was excellent flying weather. The clouds provide a good reference background and also cover from the sun.
