Talk about incredibly dull! The hockey at the Spengler Cup is unwatchable. The better Junior teams could beat those teams pretty easily.

Glad you think so, but Finland has almost always been a thorn in our side and many other countries. The game was over by the end of the first period

I get a laugh from the fans whenever it is in Canada. Favorite team is Canada of course, second favorite team whoever is playing the USA. lol

I find the juniors more exciting than the NHL. No touch icing. No delays of game due to silly fights.

It's just that the early games are A)not competitive and as a result B)pretty meaningless because you know Canada is going to advance. It only gets more tense and dramatic when it is the elimination games.

Only the real bottom teams don't often provide a game, and Canada is often pushed in its early games my middle of the pack opposition.

Another win for the boys, 10-2 over Denmark. Got a scare when Stone was holding his wrist coming off after a shift, but it appears he is OK.
Now the biggest game so far, the USA on New Year's Eve.
The Czech can lock up the bye for Canada by forcing OT vs the US today and put the US on the brink by defeating them. If the Czechs and Finland(vs Denmark) both win in regulation, the US is eliminated.
