Cancellation Frustration

I just came back from a great session with Jordan from KWPlaydates and I was quite disappointed to find out the number of cancellations she had over the last few hours. Now for seasoned hobbyists... this is unfortunately nothing new to hear about. This is also not a KW issue... it happens everywhere. I would be totally pissed if I ran an agency or was an independent and had to face this level of last minute cancellations. Some of these girls are experiencing cancellation rates of up to 50% within 12 hours of the scheduled appointment times. How many excuses involving "family emergencies" can there be? This is not fair. Are guys just making bookings without ever really planning to see these ladies... or does the world have this many last minute emergencies?

I don't have the answer... but maybe together we can give these agencies and ladies some ideas. They are turning down other business opportunities on the assumption they are booked. They have costs such as taxis and hotel rooms. Then we give them shit when they double-book or overlap on appointments as a way of getting around the high rate of cancellations.

My initial suggestion? Three strikes and you're out. The least someone should do is offer to pay a "damage deposit" or some type "cancellation fee" if you cancel within a 6-8 hour period.

• First time is okay... anything could happen.

• Second time should be a verbal warning.

• Third time... no more advance bookings privileges.

I suspect, and of course a government sponsored long term study would be appropriate that:
1) the general level of civilty and respect continues to degrade
2) Newbies book, get nervous and bail
3) Someone "better" opens a booking time
4) There are jerks everywhere

I agree with your remedies, at least for a first time booking. Lot's of ladies in the US ask for references (another provider) or a PayPal deposit.

If people keep up the great rep we are getting, Toronto included, then we should also expect that level of service.

A MPA once told me that she often suspected a high number of cancellations were cause by the friends or managers of other MPs who would call to intentionally block up her time thus causing her clients to look elsewhere. Perhaps she was a little paranoid but her version is not unbelievable, particularly if there is a lot of competition in the market.

How... how do they guess the name of the person they're cancelling for? I mean if it was a fake cancellation, I would expect the person to still show up and say "where's the girl"?

OOoooh wait, you mean they'd make a fake appointment in the first place, then call latter to cancel. Jeeze, that's just outright mean. There's gotta be methods of combatting it, so that a person can only do that once per phone number. Is there any way to tell whether a person is calling from a payphone or not?

Personally I've *never* cancelled. I've always shown up. Sometimes 5 minutes late due to traffic. But never cancelled.

The same thing happens in TO all the time.

I remember Mariah's TO Tour last year having cancellations left and right. There was also suspicion of agencies and or others not wanting the competition. Vivion in St. Kitts complained of the same.

As well Bella6969 and other ladies I used to see in TO used to get a lot of 'no shows.' Perhaps it's just part of the industry and professionals have to learn to deal with it, as it's not a legitimate business.

My educated and probably accurate guess is reason #4 accounts for over 90%.

Age 21... long curly brunette hair... 120 lbs and 34D 27 32. Jordan has a sexy latina look to her... although I don't know whether it's actually latina or black mix. She greeted me at the door in a Santa's helper outfit and immediately my mistletoe rose to the occasion. She must already be in quite the Christmas spirit because she spent a nice long time on my mistletoe. This young lady has some great oral stamina. I sang a few Christmas songs to her lovely clean shaven toy box and then showed her my Douglas Fir tree selection as we exchanged gifts a few times. Jordan does my favourite version of cowgirl and was outstanding. Although she seemed quite shy at times... she certainly had no problems showing you that she was enjoying our time together.

Great little session and I would repeat. Not a hot steamy session by my standards... but very enjoyable to say the least. $160 for the hour.

Perhaps there is a way to help.
I am often a last minute guy and can't get in to see my favorite ladies as often as we like because they are so booked.
What if we set up a last minute service where the stood up lady email someone had who signed up and was waiting?

Some ladies double-book (not me) in case of cancellations and no-shows and some guys book in advance with two or three ladies for the same reason. Inevitably, he will have to cancel with at least one of the ladies. When enough potential clients do this, SPs often become jaded and start double-booking. It`s a vicious cycle! Until people start respecting other people`s time it will just continue...

Here's the funny thing with cancellations, in Peterborough I might have one cancellation a month. When I do, I get a phone call the day before trying to reschedule for another time. I think this is the polite and courteous way to handle a change in plans, be it work/SO/nerves.

Cancellations happen I personally hate to cancell once I have made an appointment but things do come up or run into the back of you right after you made an appointment. Hmmm was that someone trying to tell me something. It only takes a second to call and say hey I can't make it sorry but could we reschedule.

This is why i willing give the ladies i choose to see my number, i have no intention of being a no show, and if (may it never happen) i ever have to cancel she will know within 5 min of me knowing i can't come, and i will more then make up for it when i come to see her another time.

I agree that it's bad manners to just not show up without a phone call. Unfortunately it's much too common in this industry. And it not only hurts the SP.....I've occasionally been bumped because a SP has double booked a session. I don't like that either, but at least I understand there are people out there trying to make a living and protect themselves.

As a side note

I had to cancel with Savannha for some outcalls for circumstances and to her credit she still is willing to see me, but needs to be an incall first. She is professional.....

A no show is F'in rude and should not be tolerated....period. Cancellations should be done well before the appointment so a reschedule may happen...
