HI everybody,

I recently tried to post some photo files in the photo thread. They were jpeg files and too large to post.

So I converted them to WebP files, which are much smaller, but then found that Terb doesn't support them. In looking at my saved files I note that terb supported them back in 2022 and early 2023.

Am I doing it wrong? Or did terb decide not to support WebP for some reason?

Thanks,

I just tried to upload a WebP file and I get this eror: "The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension. The following extensions are allowed: .zip, .txt, .pdf, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .gif, .m4v, .mov, .mp4, .mp4v, .mpeg, .mpg, .ogv, .webm" so we're out of luck using WebP on this site.

Luckily, there are web-sites like tinypng.com and imagecompressor.com where you can upload PNG, JPG and GIF files, which will usually reduce the file size by a lot.

If that still doesn't work, open your JPG file in an image editor like Photoshop or even Paint in Windows. Reduce the height and width of the image and save it as a JPG. You'll end up with a smaller file.
