I own a 2005 G35x sedan and I love it. I have had no problems but the normal brake jobs. Its quick, handles well and is easy on the gas, compared to my previous car. I'm really considering trading mine in on a 07, I'm just going to wait for the hype to die down.

here and there
Both are good vehicles, dollar for dollar the Infiniti is a better value, but depending on which model of BMW you choose, you can get way more care. A more accurate comparisson would be the 3 series BMW. BMW is more of a driver's car, tighter ride etc, but the Infiniti is a close second.

I agree with elmo that a 5-series BMW will likely get you more car. Infiniti made this change (essentially a newly tuned 306hp engine) to compete directly with the new Lexus IS350...so you may want to look at that option. That said, the German competitors would be the BMW 330i, Mercedes-Benz C350, and the Audi A4 3.2L. Though I appreciate the Japanese design and engineering, I find them to be more brawn then finesse, plus you'll find newer performance technology generally in the german manufacturers...both these points are ultimately why I have been a german car enthusiast for life.

There are so many differences between all these models (not to mention price) all aimed at a certain type of driver and lifestyle. However, from a strictly performance perspective, the 2007 G35 truly is impressive compared to previous years. For the value (again as elmo said), you can't go wrong.

The G35 is perhaps the best performance sedan value on the road. I say go for it.

Don't discount the Subaru Legacy GT if you're not hung up on the badge. The G35 is a great car, although I like the last gen (05-06 specifically) more.

The Legacy has all wheel drive and is a nice ride. Just a touch down on the luxury list but a long way down in the hearts of valets...
