I am sure they can dream up a ticket for anything aftermarket but it may not stick when it goes to court. The funny thing is a friend of mine who owns a newish BMW stock got a ticket for improper headlights because they were a blue colour. The officer though they were aftermarket. This charge didn't stick in court but was a pain in the ass. So it may be a legal to have neon lights under your vehicle but it can be a hassle.

Hmmm..I might just go ahead with the installment. Maybe make a switch to turn it off when its on the road, via when its parked. That can make me "immune" to a police officer's arrest. "Yes, officer. They're installed but I turn them off when I'm on the road. They're just to decorate the parking lot spaces"

On my Chrysler Cordoba which is the only true mans car i string some christmas lights along the rocker pannels. This is by far the only tasteful form of automotive illumination possible.

No! The most tasteful was in Escape From New york: the king of New York's caddilac, midnite blue white tonneau roof, with a crystal CHANDELIER on the hood.

The King of New York was more than a man, he was a pimp with a crystal chandelier on his Caddilac.
