I missed the part where the Governor General had sworn Carney in on Friday. The news I read online is sometimes not up to date. MSN(dot)com is still posting front page links about the asteroid that might hit the Earth in 2032.
I still think that an inability to vote and debate in the House of Commons is a necessity for a Prime Minister to govern effectively.
In the future, however, please let shack fight his own battles, that is, unless you're his boyfriend!

Liberals were careless in their vetting of someone brought to parliament. It was a mistake.

I am not connecting the CPC with Trump.
I am saying that in general, the right, represented in Canada primarily by the CPC and PPC, is trending in a dangerous far right direction as they are in the rest of the world.
These CPC supporters in Canada are influenced by the far right politics of the US.
So it is important to vote ideologically and do your part to not enable them.

But what are these values?
Countries in the western world that includes Europe, UK, USA, Canada,
Australia and New Zealand are nominally Christian. At least until the
early 20th century majority of the population in the western world are
Christians. It used to be that calling the Western Civlization Christian
Civiliation was acceptable. With that in mind it does seem reasonable
to equate 'traditional' values of the western world with Christian values.
I don't pretend I know precisely what Christian values are other than
suggesting the conservative fraction of the population in the west are
more inclined to have stronger affinity to the Christian faith than the
now more liberal majority.

It is illogical to claim that the powers of the office of the PM are different whether he was elected or appointed. A PM is a PM. The powers that are bestowed upon that office do not fluctuate. It is a ridiculous assertion.
I believe it's possible to make bets on elections. Based on your positivity, you must have already secured your affluent retirement. Have you? And if not, why not? It's a slam dunk, right?
I think it depends on when Carney calls an election.
If he calls for it now, I think he has a bigger chance of losing.
But what if he positions himself as a PM in a time of crisis and delays the elections just enough?
Will the Liberals be able to use Trump's attack on Canada as well as far right turn the US has taken, to drum up enough support and eke out a win?

Having a mandate from Canadian eligible voters has everything to do with winning a Federal Election seat, and nothing to do with being appointed/ anointed as Prime Minister. Trudeau is responsible for all of the Liberal policies.
He is the boss and it's on him to oversee all of his ministers.
He stood up in parliament and defended whatever cracker jack ideas his ministers came up with.
