That's the best way to do it, and it's the same for sexy fun. For casinos I have an added rule, that for every doubling of my initial daily budget, I don't go back below that. Nothing feels worse than being up and giving it all back. My family rule was always if you finish up, make sure to treat the group you're with, though if it's a big win don't blow it all.
