Cell phone companies are gouging us with long distance rates. Does anybody use a third party company to access long distance on their cell phones that is cheaper than going through your provider??

How exactly does it work?? Am i gouged other fees for using this service by my provider?? are there 'hidden' fees?? and what do you do about incoming long distance calls when you are out of your service area??Yes. I've used the following company for years. They charge 2.5 cents per minute for the U.S. and Canada:

Can't go wrong with worldine. $3.95 for unlimited calling across north america and with that $3.95 you can register one landline and one cell phone
Do they actually charge you by the minute??? i remember when they used to take airtime and whatnot off back in the day. Is that still done?? is the card only good for a month??I buy $10 long distance cards at Walmart for my cell. They charge I think only 2.5 cents / minute in Canada and 2.9 cents for the States. I get about 6 hours worth of long distance for $10. Not a bad deal.
You will still lose airtime with calling cards, and cards vary for how long they are good for. The ones I buy last 12 weeks from activation.Do they actually charge you by the minute??? i remember when they used to take airtime and whatnot off back in the day.
