Cell Phone Question

If you use pay-as-you-go on your cell (i.e. using prepaid vouchers) and your money runs out, what happens to incoming calls? Do they go to vmx? Are they blocked? Is there any indication after you refill your account that you missed a call? For Fido specifically.

The caller gets a message to the effect " The customer you have reached cannot accept calls at this time"
I doubt if theres any notification of missed calls to the customer
