I'm sticking with my original picks...though I now think Munich will beat Arsenal. Arsenal is going in to this weeks game without Sol Campbell, which is a huge blow for them as their D has been merely average this season.

I think it will now be tough for Milan, no Shevchenko for this them and thats a huge loss and ManU has been on fire for like 3 months now.

Barcelona will dispatch of Chelsea. Chelsea struggled vs Newcastle on the weekend, Duff could be hurt, Robben is out which is the big loss, and I think Drogba is hurt as well. Otherwise who will supply the O? Barcelona's been pretty good all year so I think they'll keep it up.
I don't think Bayern will beat Arsenal. Sol Campbell is out and Ashley Cole is also a doubt, but Michael Ballack is on the injury list as well and may not play. This will definitely affect Bayern's firepower up front.

The Milan and ManU matchup is a tough one to decide, but I'll stick to my original choice, which is AC Milan. Even without Shevchenko, Milan have a lot of depth. Also ManU has been on a roll during the past few months and will give Milan a tough test.

My original choice for the Barca and Chelsea clash was Chelsea. But now I may have to go the other way as Cheslea are being hampered by several injuries. Bridge, Robben, and definitely out and William Gallas and Damien Duff also picked up injuries during the FA Cup.

Liverpool will most likely lose to Bayer Leverkusen since there main man, Steven Gerrard is suspended for the first leg. Also, Liverpool are dealing with way too many injuries as it is.

Arsenal's D was awful last night, only good thing for them is that a 2-0 home result will see them through, all hope isnt lost yet.

Juventus was downright awful, created like 2 chances, they never attacked with certainty and they are lucky they didnt lose 3-0.

I hope no one reads this in the next 27 minutes if they are going to watch Liverpool/Leverkusen, but they played very well, and thats without Gerrard, so they are looking good to go through!

4 more games today...where's that ass groove...?

I expected a lot more from a team like Arsenal, and their defense was downright aweful. Arsenal depend way too much on Sol Campbell in defense, and without him, they are usually in trouble. They definitely need to invest in another quality defender.

I was surprised during the Juventus and Madrid match. I expected Juventus to take Real to the cleaners, but it was the other way around. Their forwards were almost invisible, especially the captain Del Piero. As "Big E" said, Juventus were lucky they didn't lose by 3-0.

More great matches to look forward to today .... :)

Alot was taken out of Juve when Nedved went out. No imagination in offense after that.

3 of my 4 picks are holding up well so far but not Juve. They played like crap but they can still go easily through in the return leg.
Liverpool looks like a safe bet and once again Arsenal is a proven choker when they have to play the European big boys.

I wont spoil the other games...but Milan completely shut down ManU. If Scholes or Fortune didnt miss, they could have been laughing, but now they will struggle to go through...thats okay though I picked Milan

congrats to Milan for an outstanding performance. they controlled the game and pretty much shut down Man U. I know Man U missed two glorious chances, but they couldn't capitalize and Milan returned the favour by nailing their chance. but in terms of ball control and posession AC Milan dominated.

I must coment also on Inter's fine play away in Portugal. Going back home with an away goal will easily carry them through.

Juve was outplayed yesterday, but are in great shape for the return leg back in Torino. Nedved and Trezeguet will be playing and hopefully help the attack out as Del Peiro has lost his touch.

So 6 out of 8 of my picks have won or tied. only Juve and Monoco lost for me, but they were both away from home.

Cheers boys on the return legs,

NB

My wednesdays picks didnt do so well.
Barcelona won but gave up the away goal
Inter did OK
Man Utd is in trouble and Werder Bremen is a goner IMO

Ferguson is a dummy for not starting v. Nistelrooy - I know he was injured but I would've thrown him right in there from the start

That's why you are here and not in Old Trafford.

What the fuck is up with Bremen? Klasnic and the boys stunk up the joint. 3-0 to Lyon? Please. My other picks did great. Feeling good about Chelsea.

I'm still wondering why he put Rudd in for Christian Ronaldo??? He made some dangerous runs and is a threat with his speed. Why not pull Giggs? He had a horrible game, barely heard his name called or noticed him on the pitch.

just my opinion from the couch,

ManU vs AC Milan

AC Milan don't play flashy football but they sure get the job done. ManU had so much difficulty just getting the ball of them since Milan were retaining so much of the possession. As mentioned above, ManU missed two glorious chances ... you just can't miss chances like that against a solid team. ManU sure has their work cut out for them on the return leg.

Damn if it wasn't for Drogba's red card I would be sitting prety with Chelsea. Still not bad with the away goal.
