Once again....congrats on your one and only glory year of 1998 n_v.

Yes, Suker won the golden boot on the back of one really great game mostly. You should be really, really proud and break out the bubbly every year to celebrate Croatia's BIG hero...better yet...let's have a Davor Suker day and commemorate his "flash-in-the-pan" tournament.

Please remind me how long his short career was??? A which "big" clubs did he play for and and long?

He had a good year, no doubt about it. but you dare say how the media hyped up all the good Italian strikers and that they weren't as good as their hype???? Well.......the shoes on the other foot now buddy.

Enjoy.

They were only as good as the mouse in their hair.

We may see an all Italian final.
Could be Juve against Milan. Of course which Milan is yet to be determined.

All Italian Finals

These are no-brainer picks:

-Juve
-AC Milan
-Lyon
-Chelsea

Then Juve over Chelsea, and Milan over Lyon, to set up the all Italian finals of Juve vs. Milan.

My feeling is Milan will take Serie A, but Juve will take Champions League and get revenge for 2 years ago.

Ok Guys, you can only pick the quarters for now. When those are finished you can pick the semi's and so on.

Also I'm not gonna accept picks untill a few days before because there may be major injuries....etc.

You see now people, this is why you should wait with your picks until the day before. Adriano was injured in his Serie-A game today. I'm not sure how serious but he may miss the CL game against AC Milan.
I doubt Inter can beat them without him

I doubt it too but at least they would stand a chance.

IMHO AC Milan is gonna take the cup - look at their defence:
Dida in goal and Cafu, Nesta, Stam and Maldini on the back line.
Thats an all-star defence

Don't get me wrong, they are some great players on that D. But they are also old.

Agreed, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mourinho proved me wrong. Nevertheless, a healthy back four for AC seems almost impossible to beat.

I dont think I'll get as many correct this time, but I'm making choices based on what I want to see happen, not what I think will happen...

Inter - they're due to beat Milan, even without Adriano
Bayern Munich - I just dont like Chelsea
Liverpool - they stink domestically, but have been playing pretty well in Europe
Olympique Lyon - end of the line for PSV
