I already said the scale of the protests were huge.
But yes the violence was relegated to a few cities, primarily in Minnesota.
Other violence was actually started by the police, such as in DC, but we won't get into that right now.
The violence was started by the police you say....Like them doing policing?

What Stephen Miller is proposing, and if he is successful, is going to come back to bite MAGA right in the ass.
It is an extremely dangerous slippery slope into full fascism.
The decline of the US orchestrated and televised in real time is what this is. 🍿
There's that word again...

In essence, MAGA isn't Nazism...of course it can't be...History has taught us that...I'm hearing warning signs, but you fail to reiterate it... Trump has not round up anybody that opposes his policies. He has not silenced the opposition.
Far from fascism / Nazism that the left has been beating since 2016, since early January this year... the sky has not fallen...the red button that the left has dreaded since 2016 was not pushed for world war 3. You did writet a nice piece...i'll give you that.
Probably more like what happened in Italy or Spain.

trump is rounding up lots of people with ICE, he just said he's investigating everyone who is left.
He calls the media the enemy of the people and fake news to make them shut up
And just like the nazis, he's responsible for genocide in Palestine.

What's funny is the authorities seem frustrated that Tyler Robinson refuses to co-operate with them. I mean, Trump and others have already stated they hope he gets the death penalty, so why the fuck would he even bother to offer them anything?

Stupid is as stupid does.

Also, for Trump to have already essentially said the guy is guilty, in normal times, would be grounds for a mistrial immediately. The same thing happened when Richard Nixon publicly stated Charles Manson was guilty before his trial even began; Nixon had to retract that statement.

Of course, there are not normal times we're in.

The tide is turning, the left will slowly dissolve into insignificance………….

Turning Point USA has seen a massive surge in inquiries for new college chapters as the organization works to advance Charlie Kirk's vision following his assassination last week.

Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show," said that Turning Point USA (TPUSA) has received more than 37,000 inquiries from people wanting to start new campus chapters. Kolvet said that TPUSA currently has 900 official college chapters and approximately 1,200 high school chapters.

absolutely!

but now we come to the real issue

we are so divided as people, calling each other names, Nazis and idiots

and it seems that every government is intentionally stoking these emotions in us

how can we ever reconcile these deference among us?

is it possible

most of us have been posting here for years, some more than others :)

and we never convince anyone of anything

and it's getting worse all the time

I would like to hear if anyone has any ideas where we can start to change for better?
Talking face to face over coffee/beer instead of posting anonymously would be a great start.

Instead of the parties Terb used to have to meet the SP,s there should be parties where we sit around tables and talk to each other.

It could eliminate some of the testosterone laden hatred towards our fellow humans.

Im on many other forums where people use their real names and photos and no disgusting remarks, just civil discourse

Divide and conquer has NEVER failed. If we stood together real change could occur.☹
Agreed 100%, and the fact of the matter is the biggest problems we face today are to do with modern-day robber barons and feudalists creating an out-of-control rising cost of living, while stagnating and even lower salaries/wages -- not "should trannies be able to use women's washrooms", which seems to be what most would rather gripe about.

Interesting.
You know what I think Juan?
I think when people sink into their podcast-worlds, they often get a cartoon image of "the other," painted to look stupid and dangerous. In other words, a "straw man". Thus the pod casters create this "Globetrotters v Washington Generals" situation where th3y demolish and mock "the other" so the listeners come away angry at "those fools" and feeling empowered. Yet, there are legitimate discussion points that can advance our knowledge from all sides. And i think once people feel they are heard, and respected, then they start to consider that it is possible for someone not of their pov to make a good point now and then.
I've never known anyone who is called an "idiot" by someone else to change his or her mind. In fact, it tends to do the opposite. Thus, start with common ground. We all want to be safe from crime. We all want to have enough to eat. We all wish to be able to speak our minds without losing our jobs or freedom.
Then go from there.
