What are you talking about?

Surely you've seen Ben Hur which got 11 Academy Awards!

I also liked his SCI-FI movies: Planet of the Apes, and The Omega Man.

He had that great way of saying OOOHHH MY GOD

I have never seen Ben Hur... but have seen Planet of the Apes & the Ten Commandments... many times

He was also in a great mini-series in the 80's about serial killer Foxy Funderburke called "Chiefs" with Keith Carradine and Danny Glover. It was excellent.

Charleton Heston appeared briefly in the Michael Moore flick, "Bowling for Columbine". It was an ambush. Mr Heston was obviously not well, and a shadow of his former self, mentally. He was confused, and Moore attacked him like a lion after a wounded gazelle. Moore showed no class at all.

Even though I disagreed with Mr Heston in his pro-gun ownership stance, and thought he was misguided, I have immense respect for the man as an actor. He provided the world with a lot of entertainment.

I agree with his stance on guns.. and was hoping that he shot Moore in the movie

I'm really going to miss Chucky Heston, his acting was like a fine cheese.

One of his best films is A Touch of Evil; playing a Mexican lawyer opposite Orson Wells corrupt sheriff. It's not to be missed!

Ben-Hur is one of my favorite films; I bought on tape, DVD and eventually I'll buy it on Blue-Ray. For sheer excitement, the chariot race has never been equalled. Chucky and Stephen Boyd (a very talented actor who left us much too soon) were genuine tough guys who did their own stunts. They had the scars to prove it and Chucky even broke an arm exicuting the flip from the chariot. What pampered, self absorbed actor would risk life and limb to perform such a stunt, today?

Maybe Tom Cruise?

Why would you miss him? He hasn't done any acting for years. And his films are available on DVD so you can watch them whenever you like. Or did you personally know the man?
