Pretty cool. I lost patience with its slow moves and made some silly errors before completing a game, but I like the design.

Had it within two or three moves of checkmate and the screen froze. The computor equivalent of flipping the board over.

Having fun with it

Noticed that 'screen freeze' also when it is losing but it doesn't happen all the time. It usually plays a good end game.

Did find a flaw in its play by opening with the K pawn, then taking its Q pawn, drawing out its Q early then attacking the Q with both knights. It makes a couple dumb moves allowing you to develop nicely and beat it in short order all the time.....:D

Ever notice how it's always the people that can't do something that are the first to criticize people who can?

e.g. people who don't read criticizing people who do, people who don't play chess criticizing those who do, etc., etc.

Ever notice how it's always the people that are miserable, and ugly on the inside that complain about things that are beautiful?

rama,
Study your history a bit....it's true. Chess is a great game. A game of position, a game of war. The Persians are given credit for inventing it back in the 8th century, while the Russians are considered the best chessmasters nowadays.

So who are the great military generals that played chess? Name them. Please teach me history.

The fact that chess is a great game of strategy, which I agree, has nothing to do with your statement. So far.
