If it is anything like Kentucky Fried Rat pass big time. KFR pieces are now so small I have to buy 10 piece meal for a snack.

Chick-fil-A is the best fast food chicken place for me. Love their chicken sandwiches and breakfast biscuits. I've had them several places in the US and the only place in Canada that comes close to their quality is Mary Browns. It will be interesting to see if they bring their full menu to Canada, so many US fast food places have pared down menus up here. Hope they are building in the Ottawa area soon!

You have to pay extra to get white meat in a 4 piece meal. WTF is that. For decades that was never the case. I dunno what changed.

Canada lacks the moral integrity needed to host a chain like Chic-fil-A.
I'd be surprised if it's a success here considering that the chain prides itself on good old fashioned values of courtesy, dignity, goodwill, service, and God. They'll be harassed and treated as outcasts by the weirdos and freaks of our social landscape.

Chick-fil-A has publicly said all are welcome to their establishments but these folks are still not happy. They are the Canadian equivalent of the Taliban.

You can't force people to like/love you.
I have had it a couple times, pretty good sandwich. I would not go out of my way to get one and there is no chance I am waiting in a line to get one.
They do have a strong following, I have read their stores make more $$$ in less hours (not 24 hours not open Sunday etc) than the average McDonald's.

Speaking of "virulent homophobia" as a member states above, I have to wonder why these protests aren't taking place at the numerous HALAL shops in Toronto. In fact a UK-based HALAL franchise called London Chicken (it's delicious btw) is heading to the GTA this year.
Let's see if they mass protest a chain that caters to a religion that not only forbids and condemns homosexuality... but often enforces the death penalty. I highly doubt it. Hysteria and protest are only encouraged/tolerated when it's anti Christian NOT anti Islam.
Chick-fil-A was already in Canada.
It had an outlet at the airport in Calgary since 2014 but shut down at the beginning of this year.
Popeye's has decent fried chicken, they only use white meat for their chicken tenders. You probably won't get any if you buy a bucket. Their cornbread is so dry, you can choke on it without a cool refreshing beverage.
