If I get a bucket of chicken, am I guaranteed to get a minimum of any given chicken part?

I figure that if a chicken is cut into 10 parts (is that right?), 20% would be breasts, thighs, or whatever is your preference.

What if you buy less than a complete chicken?

Anybody here with the expertise from having worked for KFC or Popeyes?

According to the Poultry Apportionment Act (which covers fried chicken distribution at the federal level) all parts must be distributed evenly across every served order except where said order contains specified parts. The remainder of the batch is then distributed.

So if the 3 guys before you gets the Wings and Drumsticks special, you might be stuck with lips and assholes.

So I read Hangy's response and I had to google Poultry Apportionment Act. I found it hard to believe that the federal government would have jurisdiction over poultry apportionment. Sounds like something the European Parliament would do, however.
