China will make the concession of lifting its own 100%+ tariffs
imposed on U.S. imports.

Trump will exemp all Chinese imports other than those
already exempted from tariffs and call it a favour rewarded
to Xi for taking the time to negotiate.

Trumputin is just waiting to see how the countries will enrichen his family and then say how they've negotiated a sweet deal and removed the tariffs. If one thinks Jarod made off like a bandit in Trump's last term, you haven't seen nothing yet.

Products that I design and sell are made in China. They used to be made in Canada by me, but now I pay my contract assembler in China to make them for me.
I personally have never done business in China. Have never even ordered anything off Temu, shien or aliexpress.
Just from some 2nd hand knowledge of people who do deal with chinese manufacturers, they seem to be very wary. Some have been screwed, some had contingencies just in case the bottom fell out.
Im hoping you have a contingency for your assembler but wish you a prosperous business relationship.

Now why did China initially impose just a 34% tariff on US Goods. Why not 30%, or 35% or 40% or 50%.
Strange but not so strange. They were conveying a very "respectable" message to a certain POTUS who had these credentials:

Guilty: Trump becomes first former US president convicted of felony crimes

became the first former American president to be convicted of felony crimes Thursday as a New York jury found him guilty of all 34 charges in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through a hush money payment to a porn actor who said the two had sex.

Trump just raised Chinese import tariffs to 245% 😂

He is such a dumb idiot. Just imagine the number of US businesses going bankrupt...

Trump knows shit about Asia.

He should have known that in Asia, the 3 biggest and most powerful countries (China, Japan, and South Korea) hated each other's guts for over 100 years!!

Now they are talking together!! To better face the US and that idiot Trump is helping them a lot...

The US is in deep debt, on a country level and a personal level. In the past 50 years, while the US was digging its debt while allowing 10% of its population to grab everything, Asia invested globally in their infrastructure and their population. The imperialism of America is over. Asia, led by China, is next to dominate the world order.

Agree that he is the worst president in the History of the USA. These so called new 245% are just another beyond ridiculousness means to confuse the world.
They are backtracking to say that it is not new tariffs but the total tariffs from the existing 100% and the additional 145% that he further implemented.
The most incompetent POTUS and His Staff of all time!!

White House's 245% tariff figure for some Chinese products causes confusion

Amid a tense trade war with China, a White House statement that some Chinese goods face 245% tariffs generated confusion in Beijing.

Was it another escalation? No. Trump's new tariffs on China still stand at 145%.

But the White House quickly tried to clear things up, saying the 245% figure that they put into the April 15 document - outlining the context for a new executive order from President Donald Trump - represents all previous and new tariffs on some Chinese goods dating to the Biden and first Trump administrations.

Asked for comment on the data from the White House, a Chinese official responded on April 16 that it was up to U.S. officials to provide answers on how they got to 245%.

"You can take this number to the U.S. side for an answer," Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said during a news conference, according to Chinese state media.

The U.S. already imposed large tariffs on some Chinese products of up to 100% before Trump started announcing new tariffs this year. Add the existing levies to the 145% in new tariffs Trump put on Chinese goods and some are facing 245% tariffs, the White House says.

Electric vehicles and syringes are two products that already faced 100% tariffs from the Biden administration - before Trump started putting new tariffs on Chinese goods this year - and which now are on the receiving end of the 245% tariffs, the Trump White House said. The U.S. had already levied tariffs between 7.5% and 100% on some Chinese goods before Trump took office this year.

Trump imposed a series of new tariffs on Chinese goods this year that now stand at 125%, and a 20% tariff aimed at pushing the country to crackdown on fentanyl.

Trump said on April 15 that it's up to China to strike a deal to end the trade war.

“The ball is in China's court. China needs to make a deal with us. We don't have to make a deal with them," Trump said in comments relayed by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

The Chinese Embassy in the United States did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Actually the wealth gap in China and the US is very similar. Here is an AI overview:

China has a significant wealth gap, with the richest 10% owning a large share of the country's total wealth, while the bottom 50% hold a smaller proportion. The wealthiest 1% in China possessed more than one-third of the national net wealth, and the top 10% held approximately 67% of China's wealth. This disparity is driven by factors like the urban-rural income gap and regional disparities in economic prosperity.

The United States has a significant wealth gap, with the top 10% of households controlling a large majority of the nation's wealth while the bottom 50% hold a small fraction. This concentration of wealth has increased over time, particularly in the top 1% and 10%

China is not the utopia that they are projecting and is more dystopian in nature. There are a variety of reasons for China's rise and it is despite the totalitarian rule of the CCP. Could you imagine what China could have become if it followed WTO rules and agreements and let the true entrepreneurial and hard working spirit of the Chinese people fluorish?
