Christmas Vacation Movie on CBC

Interesting. I'm watching Christmas Vacation and CBC has edited it down (I know because I have it on DVD).

When they get the Christmas tree, the DVD version has a close up of Audrey and her face and lips are blue. Also, the son asks if Clark remembered to bring an axe, at which point Clark gets a dumb look on his face and then the shot cuts to the tree on the car with all the roots hanging off it.

Wonder what else was cut...

which is why I don't watch broadcast tv movies.....

they butcher them to the point that a lot don't make sense anymore

I also can't understand why they are 'reformatted to fit my screen'....4:3 tvs haven't been sold widespread for about 5 yrs.....

They also cut the part where Clark says to the executives as they walk out of the board room, "Merry Xmas, Merry Xmas, Stuff it up your ass, Merry Xmas."
