Hi Annessa!
You are very courageous and motivated to stand up for a noble but misunderstood cause so publicly. I am sorry about the crap that you have to fear as a potential occurence with every new client you see. That is what is criminal. I would be nothing but respectful to you as a client and beat the crap out of anyone who abused you. I'm all for decriminalization, although as you may know a down-side may be less profits for the girls due to greater competition and higher taxes. But I think greater safety for you dear ladies is vital.
This is a difficult war, because just as sex workers fear exposure, so do the clients who want to support them as well. I think many support the cause, but fear voicing it in a society where you can get fired for viewing an adult related discussion forum on your lunch-time. You are truly an overcomer in this respect.
I tried to vote, but all I got was the stupid pit-bull poll. Also, what's with the title 'Hooker by crook'. And I think Kat needs to rethink her views.
It's the world's oldest profession, get used to it already world.

you have your opinion and i have mine....i'm not telling you or anyone else how to think. i was just stating the best way to aviod harm to oneself is to not put yourself in a risky situation. most of you are not forced to be escorts, are you? you've got to be aware of the risks associated with this line of work. i do wish annessa good luck with her cause, and hopefully things like rape and beatings will not happen as often and if they do then proper legal action can be taken. that is the last thing i want for any women, but we have to look out for ourselves as well!

Violence against sp's is not inherent to sex work, but to the bullshit laws and social intolerance that surrounds the profession
