The coloured press in Europe has a field day with Colonel williams, the commander of the largest air force base in Canada and the pilot for Queen Elizabeth and top leaders. Maybe he stole some of Liz' underwear.

Jesus, why did I open that link.

I hadn't even seen those photos here. If he wasn't a sick murdering rapist, it would almost be funny.

From whence is the Associated Press obtaining these photographs? It is my understanding that there is a publication ban in effect. In fact a reporter for NBC was explicitly asked by the Judge in court yesterday whether she understood that there was a ban in effect and would she would abide by it before he allowed her to remain in the courtroom.

The european press is not nearly as obedient to authorities as the north american press.

A Canadian judge has no authority to tell a foreign journalist what to do when that journalist is not on Canadian soil.

ABC News ran a story on Paul Bernardo's preliminary hearing at a time when the Canadian publication ban was still in effect.

Yesterday some of the US networks were reporting that a certain 16 year old Canadian pop singer (whom they identified) is being investigated after an altercation at a video arcade. Should anything come of the investigation, the Canadian media will not be able to identify him, as he is under 18.

This I know.

However, someone in Canada and involved with the case must have given these photos to the AP.

I don't know if there's a publication ban, but if there is nobody is paying attention to it. Those same pictures were all over the both the CBC and CTV television news yesterday. . .
Well somewhere there is a disconnnect, since yesterday the Judge was all over the press regarding non-publication of images shown in court and as previously mentioned was very concerned about the foreign press.

The court released a few pictures, that the court selected, to the media. Both the Toronto Star and Toronto Sun have the photos online.

A quick read through http://www.cbc.ca/news/pdf/williams-agreed-day1.pdf will show that there are pictures that are much worse than those...
Man, that is one seriously deranged MoFo. I read the entire document and it's amazing how many home he broke into just to steal girls underwear. He must have taken thousands of items. I wonder if any of the break and enters would have escallated had he been confronted by the women at home.

What a fucking nut case...

I think there was one house where he stole 77 panties - who has that many panties? Anyway, it's a little weird that the pictures released so far are really not much more than harmless cross-dressing which kind of gives the public the wrong impression unless they take the trouble to really find out what the story is.

In a house somewhere
The Canadian military must be the laughing stock of the world. Maybe we should hurry up and get out of Afghanistan even before our due date, to spare the troops the humiliation and shame they will likely be getting now.

I've been here for quite a while and this has to rank among the most asinine things I've ever read.
