When I right click my mouse, one of the options that appear is "FREE PORN GALLERIES XXX" How did I get that on my computer and more importantly how can I get rid of it?

you should avoid programs like kazaa that have a bunch of spyware in it.

Ouch...

No don't reformat your HDD. Jeeze talk about taking an enema with a fire hose!!! These apps are added in by downloading programs off the net that act like Trojans (a hidden program inside a program) most are harmless some are not. In your case an app may have added to your startup routine. To check what you are POST'ing at startup click the "Start" button and select "Run". Under the Run window type in "msconfig" (without the quotes), select the Startup tab. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING until you know what it is for! SPYBOT S&D ver 1.2 will give you a run down on what's in your startup and a description for each driver/app so you'll know what your deleting. You'll find this under the tools button on the left column and under the system startup option. Right clicking once on the driver/app name will yield its description and use.

Do this and run Spybot completely and it should get rid of most of these add-on annoyances for you...

It's a virus or Dialer script, any Spyware or Adware program should be able to detect it. A good up to date Virus Protection software would haveprobably prevented it.

Spybot is a good one as it has an immense list of programs it watches.

Have you visited cracks.am or cracks.st? It may have come in with a keygen or serial number. If you find out which app is causing this, let me know, because my computer has the same problem.

By the way, if anyone else has had their homepage hijacked by omegasearch.com, with an added toolbar called 'boneopensite', go to your Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs, and remove a program called Search. You'll have to type one of those acid trip letter/number strings, [like when signing up for a Hotmail account], but that particular spyware will disappear. I didn't like being prompted to go to chicks with dicks sites when I logged in to TERB. That one may have come in during the brief time I had Shareaza installed.
