Hey there.Been having a bit of issues with my PC.Have not rebooted in awhile and when i did last nite these two programs were shown as shutting down."ccApp" and "Shellcon hidden window"(box pops up....gives you the "end now?" prompt with a bar showing it shutting down.).....

Now i can't seem to find these two programs anywhere on my computer soooo makes me think something is amiss.I run Nortons 2006 and do regular scans for spyware and viruses etc etc.My last one came up clean. If anyone has any guidance on this issue,it would be muchly appreciated.PM if you wish.Cheers

"ccApp" and "Shellcon hidden window" These are not programs but part of your operating system. ccApp controls all the programs that you run on your computer. Sounds like a corrupt OS.

I have the same problem with ccApp. It is definitely linked to Norton AntiVirus. Currently, I have no solution.

My guess was that Norton wants to be the last running UI task, to prevent another task (virus) from doing something as soon as Norton exits.

I have advocated this forum in the past, and will do again: http://help.lockergnome.com/index.php
There are tons of very knowledgeable peeps there willing to help out, and it's free. I can't add much to help with your problem, because I haven't heard of it, and the simplest thing for me to suggest is try contacting Symantec's support if you're running a copy of Norton you own (not pirated) that would be the easiest way to start the troubleshooting. I also recommend backing up your data (pictures, videos, files, etc) and if worst comes to worst just reformat the drive (lazy way out, I know).
