Just had an appointment with an SP where the condom broke... I felt the tip getting really tight before it happened but I thought it was just her muscles tensing then.. pop! She had another condom with her, so we kept going but it really killed the mood...

To top it off, on the second attempt she wanted me to pull out before I came because she was paranoid about the possibility of it happening again. We used Durex, which in the past has always been reliable...

Now, how long should I wait before getting tested - I know it can take a while for infections to be detectable. Any advice would be appreciated.

The general rule for HIV is to wait three months, as 95% or so people will have developed antibodies that can be detected after gettng infected.

If you want to be extra sure, get tested again after 6 months.

The likelihood of getting HIV is very small (see https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57522&highlight=hiv*

All other STDs are not really something you should really worry too much about. Many of them can be cured completely, and the rest are not life-threathening.

The bottom line: Don`t worry.

By the way, there are some hiv home-test kits that are very reliable. Good luck.

I think you have far far better odds of getting stung to death by bees.

Keep it in perspective.

I am sure it wasn't a Sheik :D

If you didn't have open sore on your tool, chances of getting any are quite relatively slim, assuming you disengaged right upon condom breakage.

As for various possible std's, read this:
http://www.ashastd.org/stdfaqs/index.html

Give it 1 to 2 weeks and go see your Doctor , let him know what happened. Maybe he'll do a swab on your tool for further testing. OK Doc ?

It's been good to know ya
You should not worry about it too much if she is an SP that always uses protection. She may be more worried about you and where you have been with the knowledge that you are visiting sp's frequently. You would be more aware of her practises than what she would be of yours. That is mostl liley the reason that she wanted you to pull out in case it happened again. She was just as worried as you were if not more.

This happened to me in New Orleans with a SP of questionable hygene. The condom broke just before completion so I finished by hand. I was slightly concerned but it turns out I had little to worry about. I consulted my doctor and he told me not to worry and come back to see him if anything out of the ordinary developed. Nothing did develop and that was over 5 years ago. For what its worth, don't worry too much about it because the risk is quite low.

I remember years ago I saw a girl at a reputable incall and had a problem, guess we were having too much fun and realized afterwards that I had left behind something when I pulled out.

Kinda fizzled the mood but we had a long talk afterwards to exchange some accurate history and got tested with the promise that if anything was found I'd let her know.

Scared the shit out of me, but all worked out in the end as she practiced everything safe from my knowledge.

I think the scariest thing is that you feel that you may have to leave info with her that is more personal than you'd like her to have.

It always a good idea to use a proper lubricant in conjunction with a condom. Substantially reduces the risk of this sort of worrisome incident.

The good news in this case is that she was so paranoid. That may have killed the mood, but it tells you that she's generally pretty safe which means your risk is likely low. If she was all, "Oh, don't worry about THAT? Who cares!" that's when you should be worried.
